Evaluation, needed: You should be seen, in person, since "white patches" can be caused by many types of infection including viruses and fungi as well as strep. In the meantime, you can take acetaminophen (Tylenol) for the fever, gargle with mouthwash or apple cider vinegar and lemon-juice for topical relief and avoid hot and spicy foods.
