Tests are accurate: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon.

Pregnancy Tests: In general, if you had conceived it would have been about 3 wks ago, and most home pregnancy tests would be positive by now. Try it again in one week and see. If still negative, it could mean no pregnancy, or a lost fetus. We need to get to the bottom of the cause of the stomach pains - they may have nothing to do with a pregnancy, but if they persist, I would check with your provider.
