Post Op complication: Every surgeon in the world needs to know if there are complications post operatively. I am sure you were sent home with some instructions on what to expect and when to be concerned. It sounds like you need to call the on call doctor to report this situation and to see what they recommend.

Post op: Following appendectomy, whether this was performed laparoscopically or open, can have some postoperative complications. These can manifest as nausea and vomiting. Possible things to think of are early bowel obstruction (blockage), developing abscess (infection), or even intestinal leaking. Nausea and vomiting can also be simply related to dehydration and pain medication.
