URI: Depends on symptoms. If there is nasal congestion, runny nose and sinus congestion, decongestants and antihistamines can help. If there is pain in the sinuses or throat a, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or throat lozenges can help. For a cough, guaifenesin can help. If you need to suppress the cough use dextromethorphan. As always, eat well, drink plenty of fluids, and get rest.
