A member asked:

My 3yr old has swollen lymph nodes at the base of his ear for 10days and has been on antibiotics for 8days. should they be going down or gone by now?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The normal timing for lymph node swelling/shrinkage is about 3-4 weeks. It has little direct correlation with antibiotic use and represents a gradual clearing of debris, not a set of quick signals for success of treatment.
