Needs evaluation: Start with a pelvic ultrasound. If a viable pregnancy is evident, then a follow up ultrasound in 7-10 days is performed to check for fetal well being. If the initial ultrasound does not show a viable intrauterine pregnancy then serial quantitative hCG levels are followed, until determination of viability or otherwise is made. If your Blood Type is Rh negative, you need a Rhogam injection.
