Certainly: Trauma to a tooth does not always result in an immediate issue. The impact often pushes the tooth into the socket, crushing delicate blood vessels and eventual death of the tooth nerve, resulting in the need for root canal therapy. This can occur days, months, or even years after the impact. Let your dentist take a look and with a radiograph, a baseline can be established.
