Safe taking together: Inositol is the precursor molecule of IP6,which is a naturally occurring carbohydrate and an antioxidant. Studies combining Inositol and SSRIs (Lexapro is an SSRI) have not found any adverse effects when the two were taken together. The only thing to watch out is the GI upset as both can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting. Side note, Inositol 12 g qday alone was found to improve depression symptoms
