A member asked:

I have the chills, migraine, sore throat, nausea and my body's aching. what could i take? breastfeeding a 6 month old.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dr. can evaluate: Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (Tamiflu (oseltamivir) may be used for influenza), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. A person might see a doctor if the sore throat is very painful or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat and influenza). Meanwhile, Motrin or Tylenol may help with symptoms.
