See your doctor: Pain in the left upper quadrant can come from many different organs including the stomach, colon, kidney or even the back. The only way to determine what is causing the pain is to do a careful history and physical examination. Sometimes tests are needed to make the diagnosis. If you were born with the pain, it probably isn't anything serious or you'd be dead by now but why not get checked?
