A member asked:

I have had a slightly high lymphocyte count for years, but dr has only just noticed. is there any chance it could just be normal for me or bad news?

It's just you: Reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthies fall outside on either side. If you're older and actually seem sick and the absolute count's more than say 8000, a pathologist might check you out for preleukemia, though it's not really treatable. I'll bet it's nothing.
