Pulmonary fibrosis: Pulmonary fibrosis can be of unknown cause or occur from inflammatory processes that have occurred in the lungs. I don't think that chronic gerd is a cause of true pulmonary fibrosis in the absence of recurrent bronchopneumonia. I think you should be under the care of a gastroenterologist in view of gerd to prevent esophageal damage,chronic cough for example.
