Menstrual delay: At twenty seven, without oral contraceptives, a "regular cycle" of 28 days or so is common. A delay in the onset at intervals most likely represents a delay in ovulation that month. If ovulation occurs at day 17 0r 18, the onset of menstrual bleeding usually will be at day 32 to 34. Delays in ovulation correlate with both emotional stress and heavy exercise, to name a couple reasons.
