Hand laceration: If there is an area of numbness, limited finger motion or pain with motion or discoloration/coolness at any fingers you may have a nerve/tendon/or artery injury. If there is swelling redness or drainage an infection may be complicating the recovery.

Tendons: can heal a small partial tear but complete tears need surgical repair to regain function.
