Many causes: Vaginal discharge requires an examination to determine the cause and treatment. Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause and often has a vaginal odor. Vaginal itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Neither of these are sexual transmitted infections. Yeast creams are over the counter and Bacterial vaginosis treated with antibiotics

Yes, yes, ...and yes: Vaginitis =inflammation or infection of the vaginal tissues can be caused by chemical agents or inflammatory conditions or by perineal-anal microbes like bacterias, viruses, fungi etc. without "being sexually active". It may occur days after period ends. Depending on its cause, "natural cures are available" or specific treatments can be offered to reduce discomfort and sexual or obstetrical risks
