Infected nostril: I assume youre talking about the side of the nose and nostril, not the inside. If the swelling is in the soft flexible side of the nose it is probably an infected hair follicle or, gland inside the nostril. These are tender and can create redness and swelling. Try Bacitracin ointment two times daily applied inside the nostril under the sore area until gone. May need oral antibiotics if no better.
