Infection: You describe a acute pharyngitis - swollen lymph gland (nodes) in your neck, with an element of systemic toxicity (headache and eyes) - i would want to rule out strep infection although a viral illness could mimic this. You need a throat swab today! strep must be treated with penicillin to avoid serious complications like abscess and rheumatic fever.
