Not a normal sign: of aging. If the pain completely resolves only to recur again the next night, it suggests some sort of positional issue. If it resolves with nothing or with a mild analgesic, probably not to worry about. But if it comes and stays, or if there is any discomfort in the calf, thigh, or numbness or tingling or weakness in leg, you should be examined, IDEALLY when you are having the pain. Good luck
