I used to have the mirena (levonorgestrel). i experienced a lot of pain before and still do now even though it's been removed. my periods are heavier and clotty, help!

Many options.: Their are a number of treatments for heavy painful periods that could be helpful to you. You could use birth control pills, depo provera (medroxyprogesterone) shots, Implanon and other hormonal methods. You could take Lysteda during your cycle. You could have a procedure like an ablation. Need to discuss with your doctor to decide what is best for you. Hope this helps.
