A member asked:

Is rectocele surgery usually outpatient surgery or does it usually require a hospital stay?

It can be either: If the rectocoele is extensive and involving surrounding structures then it will probably be in patient. If it is just a simple vaginal wall intrusion, it can be done on an outpatient basis. Check with your surgeon as their surgical experience is tantamount to the decision.
