Sleep more at night: If you get an adequate amount of sleep at night, that may prevent you from being tired in the afternoon and prevent the afternoon headaches. Most adults need 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Aim to get that amount and, once you're in the habit of it, you'll likely find that you don't feel the need to have a nap in the afternoons.
