Lymph node sampling: Sometimes a surgeon won't biopsy the right area -and it sounds like in your case this may have happened. I would definitely call the surgeon right away to find out what the thinking was in terms of which nodes were taken out. There should be some rationale. This might explain why the pathology (microscopic exam) was non-revealing. Hopefully your symptoms can be matched with these tests to help u.
