Need clarification.: Tiny white matter spots like these can be due to small vessel vascular insufficiency, as mentioned, as well as conditions like multiple sclerosis and Lyme disease. Or they can have no specific cause at all. But in a young person like yourself, a good examination and testing would be in order.
