Engaging eye contact: Even at 10 months, a normally developing baby should be engaging socially. So abnormal behavior would include less eye contact, not enjoying snuggling or not being consoled by being held, not reacting to your attempts to engage them in interactive play. There may also be less cooing and verbalizations because children with autism have delayed or absent verbal language. I hope this helps!

Poor interaction: At ten months autistic children are self centered. That is,they don,t interact with others,they don't smile, they don't verbalize very much. Ineraction with their peers is practically non-existent. These feature can be alarm signals that a prob lem may exist
