Yes, but...: Only one properly functioning testicle is needed, for a normal life and normal reproduction. However, a person should find the other testicle because if the other testicle is in his abdomen, it is not readily available for his doctor to examine. Annual examinations can be done to check for cancer, in a testicle that did not drop into the scrotum on its own before or during infancy.
