Kills microorganisms: all living things on earth are composed of water, and most living things (plant and animal cells) are actually somewhere between 40-60% water. If water is boiled for long enough, it also boils the water INSIDE the bacteria (and even viruses) that are in the water. Some organisms are very hardy and some even can form shells or spores in which they can survive, but most are killed after 20 minutes

Depends: Kills germs such as bacteria, parasites, viruses. BUT DOES NOT ELIMINATE POISONS SUCH AS LEAD OR ARSENIC.

Kills bacteria: Continuous boiling for 1 min at sea level, or 3 minutes at 2000 meters (1 mile) altitude, sterilizes water, making it safe from infection.

Boiled water: Boiling water destroys the great majority of harmful organisms in the water making it safe to drink. It sterilzes the water.

Sterilization : Some bacteria are destroyed at high temperatures. Not completely safe to drink as one would still filter the water/purify it after it has cooled to room temp

Boil 10-15 minutes: Bring the water to a rolling boil. It's the heat that kills microorganisms, not the boiling action itself. However, without a thermometer, a rolling boil is the only accurate way to tell how hot the water is. Wait until the water is steaming and churning. By this point, all the dangerous organisms should be dead. Keep boiling for 1–3 minutes To be extra cautious, leave the water on longer.

It is a "killer": Boiling water kills most every microorganism except spore containing bacteria. Those bacteria need to be exposed to steam sterilization under pressure or boiling water for extended periods of time.

High temp kills germ: Water can be easily contaminated especially in hygienically poor countries. This water is a common source of Infections that cause diarrhea in people living or traveling to developing countries. If you drink water which has been boiled(and then cooled before you drink it). all the bacteria are killed and you can safely drink such water and not worry about getting infectious diarrhea.

Heat: The temp of boiling water will kill most all infectious bacteria in polluted water. The heat of the steam autoclave is used to sterilize surgical instruments. There are other methods to sterilize cloth etc but boiling water and steam are still great.

Kill those germs: Boiling water brings the water to a temperature that many disease causing bacteria cannot survive makes it safer, but not necessarily safe, to drink. One should also filter it to remove particles and chemicals that can cause problems. Causing the water to steam and then causing it to condense on a cool fabric can also help purify it. The whole idea is to get rid of infectious germs.
