Delayed walking: In pediatrics, walking and speaking usually occurs by 18 months. If one or both of these are delayed, she should be referred for a hearing test first, then referral to a pedi neurologist to determine any functional cause; i.e. autism spectrum, speech impairment, central nervous system disturbance affecting walking, etc.

Too much for site: The proper management of any kid with the type of delays you describe is best coordinated through an early childhood program.Your doc, consulting developmental pediatricians or neurologists, and therapist would make modifications in her program based on timely continuous re-evaluations. The type and potential for any progress will be seen only over time. At agt 3, local schools pick up the program
