Does OB MD know?: Does your obstetrician know that you have been smoking marijuana during your pregnancy? Have you had prenatal care throughout your pregnancy? The doctor needs to know as your baby may be born with an addiction to marijuana based on transmission through the placenta. Worse, the baby's brain may have been affected by exposure to marijuana in utero. Looks like we'll know soon enough, I guess.
