Typical BV symptoms: The main cause of strong vaginal odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. The odor is often fishy and especially noticeable after sex. Trichomonas, an STD, is possible (if at risk). UTI antibiotics can trigger BV by suppressing protective bacteria. It is easily treated with metronidazole. See your doctor (preferably gyn) for diagnosis and treatment advice. Good luck!
