Evolution: There is no reasonable doubt any more that HIV1 is a chimpanzee virus that jumped to humans under the atrocious conditions in the Belgian Congo in the early 1900's. HIV2 came from the sooty mangabee monkey. In fact, most of the human epidemic diseases jumped from other species. There are some crackpot ideas out there but the scientific community, which simply seeks truth, sees through them.
