Probably short.: Sadly, stage IV liver cancer is usually life-threatening within a few weeks or months. Also, I am guessing that she actually has stage IV cancer in her liver, meaning the cancer has traveled from somewhere else. When that happens, without good treatment options, people tend to decline fairly rapidly. I am sorry, but i would plan on less than 3 months.

Varies but not long: How long some one lives with stage IV liver cancer( hepatocellular cancer and not metastatic from other primary site) depends on the aggressiveness of the cancer and how well she is functioning. Would suggest spending as much time sooner while you can mutually enjoy each other's company. Weeks to a few months.
