My friends son who is eleven years old has been diagnosed with stomach, liver, pancreatic and lung cancer. can he survive this? we are devastated. he is such a nice young man and his dad and mom are the best. thank you!

Worrisome: The multiple organ systems involved in your note suggest both a primary cancer from some location and secondary spread to the lungs/liver. At first glance that is very worrisome. However, advances in cancer treatment over the past 4 decades has increased their survival chances tremendously. Try to be supportive of the family & don't assume the worst at this point.
