Tongue bleeding: Apply cold applications or cold water to your tongue and if bleeding doesn't subside head to the hospital emergency room for prompt evaluation and treatment. Spontaneous bleeding of the gums, nose, other mouth structures calls for blood tests to check for platelet deficiency or dysfunction, coagulation disorders, blood dyscrasias,etc. Medications like aspirin,Aleve can cause abnormal bleeding.
