A member asked:

Why do paper cuts hurt so much, and sometimes more than deeper cuts caused by sharp objects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sensitive nerve ends: By god's creation or so , our superficial skin structures are supplied with very sensitive nerve endings and pain receptors , may be a natural mechanism to protect from environmental stimuli . Since paper cuts very superficial cuts we feel lore pain than deeper cuts.
