Sure it's asthma?: How was your asthma diagnosed? Have you had PFTs or breathing tests (in & out of a tube, checking how fast & how much)? Many people with "asthma" have acid reflux disease that mimic symptoms. Acid in the esophagus (food tube) over time can lead to scarring, inflammation, & a condition called Barrett's esophagus.
