Take it with food.: It is common for quinolone antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin, Moxifloxacin, Levofloxacin) to cause anxiety or panic like side effects when taken on an empty stomach or worse when taken with caffeine. Try taking it with a meal and see if it helps your symptoms and do net take it with coffee or other caffeinated drink.

Discuss w/ Dr: It's never a good idea to change or stop the prescribed meds w/out talking. It's a powerful and risky antibiotic and it may be fine to get to that decision but only by talking can you prevent unexpected problems and understand the purpose of each one. Don't just stop! Your infection can become more difficult. Call ASAP to discuss. Anxiety is not on the long list of side effects - but there's a lot
