A member asked:

How soon do people get the side effects of any kind after getting a flu vaccine? a day, a week or a month later?

Within a few days: The initial discomfort is immediate. Some have localized muscle pain at the site for a day or so. Some have a body response to the vaccine with generalized aches, all within the first 3 days. Anything after that is likely something else.

Varies: Somewhere between a few hours afterwards, up to a week later; late onset allergic reactions are rare but can occur several weeks later
