You can lose weight: PCOS is commonly associated with being overweight but studies have shown that weight loss can occur in PCOS patients by any number of ways with or without medications. Reduced carbohydrate diets have shown some benefit. Weight loss in PCOS often results in improvement in the symptoms of PCOS such as irregular periods, infertility, excess hair growth.
