A member asked:

Can uti cause loss of appetite? recurring uti even with antibiotics. no symptoms of usual uti

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: An 'ordinary' UTI should have symptoms localized to the urinary system, such as burning. However, if the infection travels beyond the bladder, then other symptoms like nausea/vomiting could occur. I wonder if your nausea is coming more from meds you might be taking FOR the UTI. What did the doc give you? Also, to confirm a UTI I need 2 things - a urinalysis AND a urine culture. Hope this helps.
