HSG may not: The primary purpose of a Hysterosalpingogram is to visualize your uterine lining and tubes and check to see if tubes are open and normal. HSG will not regulate your periods; on rare occasions it may dislodge a small plug from a tube. You may need to consult a Gyn specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for further evaluation, advice and guidance.
