A member asked:

Will an hsg help with irregular periods? we have been ttc for almost 2 years done every test but hsg. whatt are my chances of conception with the hsg

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HSG may not: The primary purpose of a Hysterosalpingogram is to visualize your uterine lining and tubes and check to see if tubes are open and normal. HSG will not regulate your periods; on rare occasions it may dislodge a small plug from a tube. You may need to consult a Gyn specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for further evaluation, advice and guidance.
