A member asked:

What are the symptoms/issues to expect after a heart attack, will any of the textbook symptoms prior to the attack still effect you after the attack?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Weakness, fatigue: The classic symptoms of a heart attack (crushing chest pain, left arm pain, jaw pain, shortness of breath etc.) are not the same as the long term effects. Depending on how much of your heart muscle was damaged, you might notice that your heart can't respond to demands like it used to, and you'l be less able to exert yourself, climb stairs, be active, etc.
