Skin graft new nerve: Any burn scar can be hypersensitive because it has new nerve endings trying to grow into the skin graft scar. That scar is lacks oils. Being outside with wind can dry the skin graft more than normal skin. Try to avoid exposure to the wind and sun, apply thick creams (with sunscreen, if far enough out from the grafting), and wear protective clothing. Nerve endings grow about 1 mm a day into scar.
