Not allergy: Montelukast is relatively free of side effects and actually was approved as a category B drug. As time went on, a small % of people developed insomnia . mood changes, and even psychologic symptoms . However these are not allergies but idiosyncratic reactions. I have not seen a case of montelukast allergy but it is potentially possible as with all drugs.
