Toxoplasma infection: Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic infection by a protozoa called Toxoplasma gondii. Common ways it can be spread is through contaminated food or handling feces of infected cats. It may not cause any sx's in healthy people or mild sxs like the flu. It remains inactive in the body & activates with immunosupression. It can significant health problems or death in a fetus.
