EGD: An upper endoscopy procedure itself like yours usually doesn't cause diarrhea and thus it could be coincidental. Since your stomach was instrumented I can see it causing gastric irritation. For now, avoid caffeine, spicey or fried foods, avoid harsh roughage, drink flat ginger ale and take kaopectate(may cause dark stools) as needed for diarrhea control. Call your gastroenterologist as needed
