Usually benign, may result from many forms of inflammation..smoke irritation, fatiqued, wind exposure, lack of sleep, allergies, and other irritants. Artificial tears, rest, and avoiding irritants usually resolves. Some chronic cases may require treatment by an ophthalmologist.
