Dr. Luis Matos answered

Specializes in Pediatric Allergy and Asthma

Rhinitis or asthma: Cockroach particles become part of the dust of buildings, homes or apartments where they live. Even if the roaches are killed, that structure will continue to have particles of dead cockroach in the dust. People can become allergic by breathing that dust and develop symptoms of allergic rhinitis or asthma with future exposures. Avoidance of exposure to this dust is the best treatment. Move out.
