Same as other foods: However it will more likely show up as oral allergy syndrome in which you may have swollen lips, sometimes tongue, itchy mouth/throat within minutes after chewing on a raw celery stick. Anaphylaxis from exercising within 3-4 hrs after ingesting celery has also been reported but quite rare.
