What is the definition or description of: borderline personality disorder?

BPD is the most: severe personality disorder, clinically, although it is rivaled by Antisocial Personality Disorder in society at large. BPD is characterized by a very fragile self-esteem, highly volatile interpersonal relationships and extreme mood and behaviors. Borderline: In addition to Dr. Griggs very helpful information, I would add that it is difficult for BPD folks to have good relationships w/others. They can be quite confusing to deal with, e..g., inconsistent, seeing things from an unusual perspective, etc. Peace and good health.

Borderline : Intense fear of abandonment, being manipulative, impulsivity, a tendency to think of people and things in all good or all bad terms, self mutilating behaviors, drug and alcohol abuse, sexual impulsivity, a profoundly disturb sense of self, and extreme emotional volatility.
