YES: Quite common in young adult males. Obsessions are intrusive, repetitive thoughts.ideas and fixations. Delusions are fixed ,false ideas or concepts. OCD can coexist with schizophrenia and other comorbidities like anxiety and depression. Allrequire skilled psychotherapy and psychiatric evaluation.

Seeking reassurance?: In general, most who fear they're going crazy, aren't. If you have a diagnosis of OCD, then you should establish a therapy in which you tolerate and manage such fears as you've brought up, rather than seek out concrete "answers" in forums such as this. FInd a doc you trust, stick with it!

Reassurance seeking?: For schizophrenia the average age of onset for men is 18, typically 16-25 years of age. Repeatedly asking for the opinion of others (friend, family, or professionals), hand washing needlessly, overzealous cleaning, checking behavior, counting, organization ("everything has to be in its place"), frequent unwanted thought (fears of violence, sexual thoughts, illness, looks) - all symptoms of OCD
